7:00-10:00 pm

The 4th Annual Mr. & Ms. Olney Contest
An Olney Community Band Concert &
Swing Dancing with the Olney Jazz Troupe
at
Farquhar Middle School in the Upper Gymnasium
6:30-9:30 pm: Hand out Olney Days Programs, collect canned goods
10:30-11:00 pm: Help with clean up of gym area
Saturday, May 20th
Joe’s Ride & Stride
6:30 am – 10:00 am

Fun Fair and Fireworks at Olney Manor Park
4:00 - Dark
1:30-2:30 pm: Put up signage all around the Park
3:00-9:30 pm:
- Helping to set up for the puppet show
- Helping to run and/or score at the Homerun Derby & Lacrosse Shoot Out, Ice Cream Eating & Watermelon Contests
- Patrolling to keep people out of the fallout area for the fireworks
- Face painting
- Distributing Olney Days Programs
- Helping with some games
- Clean-up of spectator area - after the fireworks - not the fallout area
You do not have to work the whole time, but we would like you to work for at least 2 hours.
Sunday, May 21st
Olney Days Car & Truck Show
at Fletcher’s BP
10:00 am - 1:30 pm
9:00 am -2:00 pm: Register exhibitors, tally judges’ scoring sheets, clean-up
Olney Days Parade
on Georgia Avenue 2:00pm
11:00 - 11:30 am: Set-up of chairs/tables at Reviewing Stand (Spartan Rd, Put up road closure signs
12:00-12:30 pm: Set-up staging area (Prince Philip Dr- Geo. Ave, to Rte 108)
12:45 - Till end of Parade passes you: (The end of the parade is out of staging area around 2:30 and gets to the reviewing stand around 3:15 pm):
- Help line up Parade units in staging area
- Be a Parade marshal somewhere along the Parade route – includes handing out Olney Days Programs
- Help at reviewing stand with tallying judges’ scoring
- Clean-up area working in after Parade passes and crowd disburses
